We’ve worked closely with the team at Slumberzone NZ to develop our own exclusive ranges. The Como collection of mattresses uses top quality materials and the latest technologies, but with a very specific feel in mind. With a focus on the comfort benefits of latex, the three feel options in the Como range are quite unique. The Como Firm is a hard sleep surface with just enough comfort and pressure relief to cater to those who like a firm, but not too firm feeling mattress.
Support

7 Zone Pocket Spring System

Older style traditional springs in mattresses were held together with wire. Pocket springs are held together by the fabric “pocket” each spring sits in, giving independence of movement for each spring. This significantly reduces partner disturbance as well as efficiently contouring to body shape for the best spinal alignment. The spring system is then divided into 7 sections or “zones” across the mattress. Utilizing heavier duty springs in the sections where our bodies require it, the “zone” system adds support and more give where needed.

Foam Encasing

Foam encasing surrounding the spring unit provides a supportive edge and larger sleep surface.

Comfort

Latex Foam

Latex is extracted from rubber trees and processed to make the latex foam used in the bedding industry. It is natural, durable, highly resilient, non-toxic, non-allergenic, anti-bacterial and dust free. Latex foams are both supportive and pressure relieving and available in various comfort feels. Gel beads are infused into this latex to maximize temperature regulation, delivering a cooler feel than standard latex.

Firm Comfort Foam

Quilting

Firm Foam Quilting

Firm foam is quilted and placed between the firm comfort foam and the top fabric of the mattress to create a harder sleep surface.

Tencel Fabric

Tencel fabric is made from several types of wood pulp, most commonly from eucalyptus trees. The manufacturing process is environmentally beneficial, using sustainably sourced wood, and less water and fewer pesticides than other fabric types.
Tencel is known for its soft feel and durability, as well as its breathability and moisture-wicking properties.

Healthguard Technology

Healthguard is a fabric treatment which protects against bacteria, dust mites and allergens.
